We work together with the Lupus Foundation of America

Research is the key to solving the Lupus mystery and ending its brutal impact. Years of disappointing results in lupus drug development suggest that a different approach is needed. Smarter research will generate faster progress. The association challenges what isn’t working and funds and supports research that is most hopeful to uncover the causes of lupus, understand its progression, and accelerate the search for cures.

At CardioFlex Therapy outpatient clinic in Davie, we see the symptoms of Lupus first hand, physical therapists can play an important role for patients with SLE during and between exacerbations. The patient’s need for physical therapy will vary greatly depending on the systems involved. We can educate patients on appropriate energy conservation techniques and the best ways to protect joints that are susceptible to damage.

So join CardioFlex physical and occupational therapists in this great cause on Thursday, May 10th for the 5th annual Lupus Awareness Night at Marlins Park. The Miami Marlins are excited to team up with the Lupus Foundation of America, Florida Chapter this year!  A portion of the ticket proceeds purchased online will benefit the Lupus Foundation of America Florida Chapter. Purchase your tickets and watch the Miami Marlins strike out lupus against the Atlanta Braves!
