CardioFlex physical therapists participate in the 4th annual Pints for Parkinson’s Orlando. Come join us on July 21st to benefit Pints for PD Orlando, an annual Team Fox event to raise money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation, held at World of Beer Dr Phillips each July.
Five million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s disease — a chronic, degenerative neurological disorder. In the United States, 60,000 new cases will be diagnosed this year alone. There is no known cure for Parkinson’s disease. But through your support of Team Fox, you can help change this. Everyone can help end Parkinson’s disease. A participant at last year’s event was interviewed:  “I’m a physical therapist, and I started noticing signs of PD in my father in 2013. After encouraging him to see a neurologist, he was officially diagnosed a few months later. I’ve also seen an increase in the number of my patients who have Parkinson’s. This gave me motivation to start a support group for people with PD and their caregivers”.
A physical therapist can help you develop an exercise routine that is right for you. Physical therapy can also help address certain symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease such as dystonia, freezing and gait.
There will be 9 custom brews competing for the title of “Foxiest Beer in Orlando”. In addition to the beer competition, they will be featuring hourly raffles, silent auction items, as well as Plinco & cornhole! There is NO COVER CHARGE and 100% of all of our proceeds will be donated to Team Fox for Parkinson’s research. Here are the details:
